Size Guide

Every garment at Navessio is sized using letter sizes (typically XS through 3XL, depending on the style). Because our collection spans evening gowns, two-piece sets, maxi dresses, and midi dresses, each product page carries its own size chart and fit notes. There is no single universal chart that applies across the entire catalog—always check the specific item you are considering before placing an order.

What You Will Find on a Product Page

Most Navessio listings include a size chart listing bust, waist, and hip measurements in inches. Some items, such as our midi dresses, also provide a garment length measurement. Alongside the chart, you will usually see a short fit description—for example, "slim, tailored fit" on a column gown or "relaxed fit with an easy, fluid drape" on a wide-leg pant set. These notes tell you how the finished garment is cut relative to the body measurements in the chart.

A recurring note across several of our listings is that manual measurement may vary by 0.4–1.2 inches. Treat the chart as a guide rather than an exact guarantee.

Taking Your Body Measurements

Use a soft, flexible measuring tape. Stand naturally with your arms relaxed at your sides, wearing undergarments similar to what you plan to wear with the garment. Keep the tape snug against your skin but not pulling or distorting your shape.

Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and parallel to the floor across your back.

Waist: Find your natural waistline—the narrowest point above your navel—and measure around it without sucking in or holding your breath.

Hip: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, typically 7–9 inches below your natural waist, keeping the tape horizontal.

Write down each number in inches. These are your body measurements, and they are what you compare against the bust, waist, and hip columns on a product's size chart. They are not the same as the garment's own dimensions; a chart tells you which body size range a given garment size is designed to accommodate.

Matching Your Numbers to a Specific Item

Once you have your measurements, open the product page and locate its size chart. Find the row where your bust, waist, and hip each fall within the listed range. If your measurements land in different rows—for instance, your bust suggests a Medium but your waist suggests a Large—look at the fit description for that item. A tailored column gown will behave differently from a flared A-line maxi or a knit set with gentle stretch.

Some products include a garment length in their chart. This is a finished measurement of the item itself, not a body measurement. Compare it to a dress you already own and like, or consider where you want the hem to fall on your body.

When You Are Between Two Sizes

Several Navessio listings include a product-specific recommendation such as "we recommend sizing up" when you fall between sizes. Follow the guidance printed on the page for that particular item. Do not assume the same rule applies to every style, because a relaxed-fit two-piece set and a slim-cut evening gown are engineered differently.

If the product page does not include a between-sizes note, weigh the fit description, the stretch or structure of the fabric as stated, and your own comfort preference before deciding.

Still Unsure? Ask Before You Order

If the chart and fit notes on a product page leave you uncertain, email us at derek@navessio.shop with the following details so we can give you the most relevant guidance:

  • The product name or URL
  • The two sizes you are comparing
  • Your bust, waist, and hip measurements in inches
  • Whether you prefer a closer or looser fit on that particular style

We do not need photos, identification documents, or any personal information beyond the measurements above. Our team will respond with observations based on the product's published chart and fit notes, but we cannot guarantee a perfect fit before you try the garment on.
